Controls
Keyboard:
- WASD to move and SPACE to jump
- F to interact
- Left Click to drag objects
- E to eat objects
- Right Click to spit objects
- Hold right to throw
- Scroll wheel to change selected object
- Ctrl to crouch
Gamepad:
Although gamepad is compatible, it still has some issues so we suggest to use mouse and keyboard
- A/X to jump
- X/Square to interact
- L2 to drag objects
- R1 to eat objects
- R2 to spit objects
- Hold R1 to throw
- Numpad to change selected object
- L1 to crouch

I enjoyed a lot playing this prototype. The atmosphere is very engaging, thanks to the environment and sound design. The core mechanic of the puzzle piece is simple and deep. I see the premise for much more freedom of expression in the platforming, but this doesn't mean it's not satisfying as it is already. I'm curious to see how it's gonna turn out once it gets more polished and expanded
Thank you so much! We have a big vision for Head Box, which requires time and experience. One step we are considering to take in the future is to polish this prototype and make it into a standalone experience, it could function as a teaser to the full game we have in mind. In the meantime we are going to focus a lot on becoming better game developers and artists. We want to experiment as much as possible and make fun games togheter!

An early state of a really interesting project!
Head Box is a puzzle game that relies on simple mechanics and a bit of platforming to let you discover how the place you were "born" into works. Searching for the different characters, discovering their interesting designs, and experiencing their funny or cryptic interactions is a lot of fun, especially with the great OST in the background which sets a chill and mysterious tone!
There is a lot of love put into this proof of concept, and it's a solid start. Try it already!
